PantonStack: an immersive event that pays homage to Verner Panton's psychedelic interiors by hosting an interactive exhibition.
“A neatly stacked pile of plastic buckets reportedly inspired Panton to design a stackable chair made using plastic” (HEAL’S 2020). This proposed event aims to appreciate the beauty and functionality of the Panton Chair while celebrating the radical and psychedelic interiors of Verner Panton, through an immersive experience that allows visitors to interact with the chair.
The layout of the event transforms the Ground floor level of Whitehouse Institute of Design into an open space with a maximalist design that highlights the chairs. The colour palette used is inspired by the original chair, incorporating bright, bold hues throughout the space to replicate the psychedelic aesthetic of Panton’s work from the 60s.
